Margaret Croke Takes “the Plunge” Today for Special Olympics
Chicago – Today, Margaret Croke, Democratic State rep candidate for Illinois’ 12th district, joined thousands of fellow Chicagoans today to take the plunge in Lake Michigan’s icy waters in support of Special Olympics for its annual “Polar Plunge”.

Margaret Croke is a progressive activist who will work to keep our economy humming. She got her start as an organizer for the Hillary Clinton campaign, standing up against campus sexual assault and supporting women running for office. Now, as a leader at the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Margaret works closely with Governor Pritzker and his staff to help small businesses thrive and to create new jobs. In Springfield she will fight for women, the LGBTQ community and everyone in our diverse community who share our progressive values.
Margaret lives in Old Town with her husband, Patrick, son PJ, and her two rescue dogs Winston and Charlie.
